As highlighted before, to the bigger extent, Disability in Uganda is generally perceived based on Moral model, its basically a blame especially to mothers of the child where by some of the mothers are rejected together with their children by the family of the father of the child. It is easily related to witchcraft and cult especially for rich people. The perception is that the rich sacrifice their un born babies to acquire more riches. While on the other hand disability is as well regarded as a curse to the family.
Meanwhile the medical model is seen as a solution to disability especially by rich people and medical personnel. they believe that disability can be treated because its just an abnormality/impairment of the person.
