      Access to rehabilitation services has remained a challenge yet the region is still recovering from 20 years plus post-conflict war in Northern Uganda. The cost of transport to access care has hindered many from accessing services.

      I also believe that transportation is one of the barriers for rehabilitation accessibility, in particular for low resources countries.

      In Nigeria, progress has been made to ensure accessibility and reduce disability through various laws and policies. One of the key legislative frameworks is the Discrimination Against Persons with Disabilities (Prohibition) Act, signed into law in January 2019. This law aims to eliminate discrimination and provide equal opportunities for persons with disabilities with penalties for violations, including fines and imprisonment for individuals and corporate entities.

      Vietnam has made significant strides in promoting accessibility and reducing disability through various laws and policies.
      One of them is The National Action Plan on Disability outlines specific strategies and actions to implement the Law on Persons with Disabilities. It focuses on Awareness Campaigns: Efforts to reduce stigma and discrimination through public awareness campaigns and education; Capacity Building: Training for healthcare providers, educators, and employers to better serve people with disabilities; Infrastructure Improvements: Investment in making public buildings and transport systems more accessible.
