A number of organizations are working to meet rahab needs in Uganda. The governemt through the ministry of gender, labor and social development has a disability department respossible for economic empowerment as rehabilitation. The ministry of health has an incapacitated department of rehabilitation and disability. Other NGOs include NUDIPU, HI among other. There is a vibrant civil society helping in rehabilitation. ReLAB-HS has just come in to provide quality and standards for the spectrum of services following WHOs guidance.
It is indeed very difficult to get rehabilitation or assistve technology because we do not know where and how to find them. But even after finding them, they are very expensive.
