In Uganda, rehabilitation services are mostly offered at the level of district hospital to national referral and the services has not been prioritised, most of the rehabilitation services are being offered by NGOs that have interest of their nice in rehabilitation. Accessing rehabilitation and AT services in Uganda is still a big challenge for the common people mostly in the rural areas.
The country has adopted the WHO guide to advance the rehabilitation services. Uganda is now trying to integrate rehabilitation and AT services in to the health systems through the support from the development partners.
