Am Susan Labeja , a nursing officer working with the organization providing rehabilitation to survivors of torture in Uganda. My expectation for this course is the learn and gain more skill about rehabilitation and also to be equip with the principle of rehabilitation .Rehabilitation in Uganda focuses on improving the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and those recovering from injuries. Services include physical therapy, vocational training, and psychological support, provided by government initiatives and NGOs. Challenges include limited resources, inadequate healthcare infrastructure, and a shortage of trained professionals. Despite these obstacles, efforts continue to enhance accessibility and inclusivity, promoting independence and integration for those in need. Community-based programs play a crucial role in reaching rural and underserved populations
